Shire Farm Developments
Aura-Soma’s biodynamic production is going from strength to strength and so is the amount of land they have now successfully converted to Biodynamic Demeter Status.
To compliment the almost 500 acres already in production, another 42 acres behind the Aura-Soma Training school Dev Aura, has now gained Demeter Status also.
This is very exciting and means Aura-Soma is becoming more and more self sufficient in their production of raw material for both the Aura-Soma Products and the AEOS skincare range.
The production of the grain Spelt for both oil–used I the Aura-Soma and AEOS skincare, and Spelt wheat production supplying specialty bread bakeries around the UK is getting bigger every year. Also Linseed for Flax oil is been grown.
This year there has been plantings of over 15,000 new trees and the woodland under planting of wild flowers has started, along with planting of Sweet Chestnut trees. All planted to support the expanding biodynamic bee hives – which have expanded now to 10 hives. Many of you may know that our dear bees are in trouble globally, and Aura-Soma is doing a lot to support its protection and recovery. Long live the bees, they say that without them the rest of life on earth will suffer terribly.
